"Pushing at boundaries is invariably an individuation of the disobediant act, important in the evaluation of how art itself emerges, or lies within the reality of an object. By this I mean, ideas in their intellectual capacity, and materiality of paint are not incompatible. It is necessary to achieve this flux of sensuality in the experience. In this sense painting for me has to refer to what thought is, or what thinking means."
